The Small Arms Survey’s New 5-year Strategy
2024 is a momentous year for the Small Arms Survey—a new Director, reflection on its work and impact over the past 25 years, and a new five-year Strategy to implement. The 2024–28 Strategy has been designed to guide the Survey in its provision of expertise and support to states and stakeholders. In order to do that, the Survey has considered how it should adapt to the current strategic environment, has redefined its lines of work, and reviewed its theory of change, among other measures.
The Small Arms Survey Strategy 2024–28 builds on the Survey’s 25 years of experience and knowledge, supporting its adaptation in an ever-evolving world—one that the Survey envisions will one day be without illicit arms and armed violence.
